I know that lately i gave you several good restaurant tips in Nice, and yes, don’t hate us for being repetitive, but this is a new terrific one, just nearby “Le comptoir du marché” and “Le café de la bourse” in le Vieux Nice. Welcome to “chez Palmyre”, a very old institution, opened in 1926. It has been run by to old women for years, and 3 years ago, two best friends Vincent the Chef, and Philippe who welcomes the visitors, bought it together.
Since then, their 15 euro menu has conquered a lot of fans from all over the world. Here you can meet true “niçoises” and “niçois”, along with Japanese, English or Chinese gourmets. The dishes are typically french, but in a very delicate and subtle reinterpretation. The perfect marriage between simple french heritage cooking and the modern taste for healthy and light food.
We had “poultry liver country pâté”, “soupe du jour”, “parmeggiano and raw ham polenta” for starters,
then, “ricotta and eggplant lasagna”, “cockerel in a white sauce” or grilled salmon with lentils”, then “lemon pie in a glass”, “tiramisu” or “choocolate petit pot” for desert.Don’t misunderstand, we are still really selective, but once again i have to say this is a seriously good address. Warm people, delicious food and very good price!
Chez Palmyre, “cuisine familiale”, 5 rue Droite, le Vieux Nice (near la place Saint François). Tel: 04 93 85 72 32. You really have to call before to make a reservation.

I couldn’t agree more about Palmyre since we suggested via Marijo that you go there. What I can suggest is that you look at the translated version of your articles and site in general to confirm that the syntax and grammar are not prominently noticeable. It appears to me that you
use Googe Translate or other such means to translate your text from French to English. If your English skills allow, you might wish to check the text before releasing it online……..best regards……..Lowell Fink

Great place to eat! Maybe the best in Nice. In 7 years we had never been disapointed with culinary excellence. We are looking forward to eat there again when we will be in Nice in March.
With best wishes,
Walkers
