Ségolène and I headed to scout out a new lead on a hot culinary event happening on the Italian Riviera: Festa dell’olio nouvo in Imperia Italy this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (15, 16, 17 November).
I missed spending time exploring with Sego, and it is true we got a little distracted and of course, got lost trying to find the right exit off the highway. We suggest giving yourselves some extra time finding the venue, since Imperia was once two cities that merged together there are two centres.
We had a pleasant stroll around the charming city centre, which has both beautiful architecture (don’t miss the impeccable Collegiate Church of Saint Giovanni) and awful parts as well. Stick to the streets of the venue (near place Dante) and explore all the local producers and taste the famous Ligurian Olive Oil.
