Fully baked pumpkin pieYield: 1 pie

This recipe was pretty much following the recipe on the back of HyTop pumpkin in a can.  However, I did not have the cloves ground well enough, causing some brown spots on the pie.  We cleverly hid these blemishes with cardamom whipped cream :)


1 prepared pie shell (see our recipe for pate brisée)
1 can pumpkin
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
1/2 teaspoon ginger, ground
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, ground
1/8 teaspoon cloves, ground
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cups cream


For the pie Preheat oven to 425F degrees

Mix sugar and spices together, and in a large separate bowl combine the slightly beaten eggs.  Mix together and pour into pie shell and bake 40 to 50 minutes.
